On July 8, 9, & 10 2000 the first of a series of very unusual conferences will be held in San Francisco. This conference which is under the sponsorship of the San Francisco Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, will be titled: In Kinship with all Life - Exploring our Sacred Relationship with Animals and Nature.

Under the guidance of the SFSPCA, San Francisco has become the nations first city to abolish the practice of killing unwanted animals. This plus the fact that San Francisco is the City of St. Francis, the patron saint of animals, makes San Francisco a most appropriate location to hold such a conference at the dawning of the Millennium.

Through presentations from a cross section of the most respected scientists, theologians, medical professionals, native peoples, intuitives, and spiritual leaders of our time, this gathering will endeavor to present ways in which we can, by developing a sense of respect for other species and concern for their welfare reduce our own selfishness which is the source of all personal and planetary problems. By coming together in this way we hope to enhance our own sense of kindness and compassion and then carry this expanded state of understanding out into the world moving forward towards a kinder relationship with animals, all sentient beings and Earth Herself, the ultimate source of life. As part of the conference a forum of the speakers will be presented with which the audience is invited to participate.
